Health Hazards
Raccoon feces can carry Raccoon Roundworm (Baylisascaris procyonis), which is fatal to humans if inhaled. Bat guano grows Histoplasmosis fungus. Your attic isn't just dirty; it's a biohazard.
Energy Loss
Animals trample insulation, compressing it and ruining its R-value (insulating power). This leads to higher heating and cooling bills immediately.
Odor & Pheromones
Urine-soaked insulation smells terrible in summer heat. Worse, the scent signals to other animals that "this is a safe den," inviting future infestations.
Insurance Assistance
Attic restoration is expensive, but you may not have to pay for it all.
How We Help:
- • Photo Documentation: We take high-res photos of the damage, droppings, and entry points.
- • Written Report: We provide a detailed assessment linking the animal infestation directly to the insulation damage.
- • Adjuster Meeting: We can meet your insurance adjuster on-site to walk them through the damage.
Upgrade to TAP Insulation
Don't just replace what you had—upgrade it. We install T.A.P. (Thermal Acoustical Pest Control) insulation.
The Benefits:
- • Pest Control: Treated with borates that kill ants, roaches, and termites, but are safe for people.
- • Higher R-Value: Denser than fiberglass, keeping your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
- • Fire Retardant: Adds a layer of fire protection to your attic.
Restoration Costs
Spot Cleaning (Lower Cost)
If the animals were confined to a small area, we can simply remove the soiled insulation, sanitize that spot, and top it off. This is affordable and quick.
Full Restoration (Insurance Claim)
If the entire attic is trampled or contaminated, we vacuum out everything down to the drywall, sanitize the attic floor, and blow in R-38 or R-49 insulation. This is a major project usually funded by insurance.
Insurance Claim Assistance
Many homeowners don't realize that wildlife damage is often covered by insurance.
While policies typically exclude the removal of the rodent itself, the cleanup and repair of the attic (which is the expensive part) is frequently covered under "Sudden and Accidental" damage clauses.
We Help You document:
- • Photos of damaged electrical wiring.
- • Measurements of contaminated insulation.
- • Evidence of urine damage to drywall/ceilings.
Our 4-Step Process
We use massive HEPA-filter vacuums located outside to suck out old insulation without contaminating your home.
We treat every rafter and joist with hospital-grade disinfectant to kill viruses and mold.
We seal gaps around light fixtures and pipes with foam to stop air leaks and prevent future pest entry.
We blow in new Cellulose or Fiberglass insulation, bringing your home up to modern energy codes (R-38 to R-49).
